What you can build with Kick Channel Role

Real use cases that ship in production Discord servers using RoleLogic + Kick.

Follower-only and subscriber-only Discord channels

Lock channels behind a Kick follow or subscription. New followers and subs get access within seconds; unfollows and lapsed subs remove the role automatically.

Sub-tenure and gift-count loyalty roles

Require total sub months ('subscribed 6+ months'), an active sub streak, or a minimum number of gifted subs given to the channel — perfect for veteran-supporter, gift-sub-club, and top-gifter roles. RoleLogic reads the numbers straight from Kick.

VIP, Moderator, and OG roles, mirrored to Discord

If someone is a VIP, mod, or OG on your Kick channel, they get the matching role in Discord automatically. Promotions and demotions on Kick show up on Discord right after.

'Live Now' role while the broadcaster is streaming

Give out a temporary role to everyone who matches your rules while the channel is live, and remove it when the stream ends. You can even gate the role on the current stream category — 'Live in Just Chatting' vs 'Live in Slots' can map to different roles.

Multi-channel rules in one plugin

Connect multiple Kick broadcasters to one Discord server. Build rules like 'subscriber on Channel A OR VIP on Channel B' — the rule builder handles OR/AND combos natively.

Anti-throwaway filters

Mix identity rules with a minimum Kick account age, country, or username pattern to block freshly-made alts from grabbing subscriber perks.

How Kick Channel Role works

From install to live Kick roles in a few minutes.

1

Connect your Kick channel(s)

Sign in once with your Kick broadcaster account per channel so RoleLogic can see viewer relationships and listen for updates. Sign-in tokens are encrypted at rest.

2

Build your rule

Easy rule builder with OR/AND groups. Pick from 18 things to check — follower, sub, sub months, streak, gifts, VIP, mod, OG, live, category, account age, country, username, chat activity — and 11 ways to compare.

3

Members link Kick

Members sign in with Kick on the verification page. From there, follow, sub, gift, VIP, mod, and live status all stay in sync automatically — no polling, no delay. A periodic reconcile pass covers any missed updates.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about Kick Channel Role and RoleLogic.

How fast are role updates?

Almost instant. Kick sends updates to RoleLogic and the role is granted or removed within seconds. A short live-status check and a regular reconcile pass cover anything that might have been missed.

Can I gate roles on sub tenure or gift count?

Yes. Rules include total sub months, sub streak months, gift recipients, and gifts given to the channel. Use ≥, between, and equals to build tiers — 'subscribed 3+ months' for a veteran role, 'gifted 10+ subs' for a top-gifter role.

Does it support VIP, moderator, and OG status?

Yes. VIP, moderator, and OG (one of the channel's earliest accounts) are built-in yes/no rules. Combine them with sub tier or follow length in a single rule — 'VIP AND subscriber 6+ months' is one group.

Can I assign a role only while the broadcaster is live?

Yes. There's a 'channel is live' rule plus an optional 'current category' rule. Give out a 'Live Now Viewer' role only while the stream is on, or only while the category matches a specific game or topic — RoleLogic removes it when the stream ends.

Can I run rules across multiple Kick channels?

Yes. Connect multiple broadcasters to the same Discord server and combine them with OR — for example 'subscriber on ChannelA OR VIP on ChannelB OR (follower 30+ days AND moderator on ChannelC)'.

Do I need anything from Kick?

On hosted RoleLogic, no. The plugin handles all the technical setup with Kick for you. You just sign in once as the broadcaster per channel you want to track.

What if a member unsubs, unfollows, or loses VIP?

Kick tells RoleLogic and the role is removed automatically. There's no grace period unless you build one in using a tenure or sub-months rule.

How are broadcaster tokens stored?

Your broadcaster sign-in tokens are encrypted at rest and only decrypted right when RoleLogic needs to talk to Kick. They're never exposed to other parts of the system.
